Members of the priority program "Mediatized Worlds" hold keynote and presentations at workshop in London
The workshop "Rethinking the Mediatization of Politics" takes place on April 25 and 26, 2014. It is organized by the Temporary Working Group "Mediatization" of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) and hosted by the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
Caja Thimm, leader of the "Political Deliberation on the Internet" project is one of the keynote speakers at the workshop. Her keynote is entitled "The Role of Time for the Mediatization of Politics: From Digital Firestorms to Candy Waves Online". Furthermore, the following members of the priority program "Mediatized Worlds" participate at the workshop:
- Andreas Breiter, leader of the former project "Schools as Mediatized Social Organisations" will give a presentation on "Mediatization of school policy by information infrastructures for accountability"
- Andreas Hepp, leader of the "Mediatized Everyday Worlds of Translocal Communitization" project will give a presentation on "Small forms of mediatized engagement: Rethinking the mediatization of politics in relation to the public engagement of young people".
