New publication by priority program project "Political Deliberation on the Internet" out now

18.06.2014

The German-language volume "Digitale Gesellschaft - Partizipationskulturen im Netz" edited by Jessica Einspänner-Pflock, Mark Dang-Anh and Caja Thimm has just been published by LIT

In the course of the mediatization of our everyday worlds new forms of political participation develop. Particularly digital media favor the collective negotiation, participation and formation of our everyday lifes, politics, economy and culture. The authors of this volume address the question what specific cultures of participation evolve in the various areas like corporate communications, journalism, politics or in adolescents and in which way these tendencies can be described as characteristic for a digital society. The aim of this volume is to make a contribution to the contouring of application possibilities and limits of the concept of participation in the field of media and communication research.
