"Mediatized Conditions": Workshop at the UC Berkeley

Members of the priority program Andreas Hepp and Friedrich Krotz give talks at the "Mediatized Conditions" workshop in Berkeley, California
The international workshop "Mediatized Conditions. Sociocultural, Ethnographic, and Phenomenological Approaches to Mediatization of Communication" is organized by the Department of Media and Communication, University of Oslo in cooperation with the local host: Language, Literacy and Culture, Graduate School of Education, UC Berkeley and will take place on the 5th and 6th of December. The aim of the workshop is to discuss and exchange ideas on up-to-date research of leading mediatization research intiatives in Europe and the USA.
Andreas Hepp will give a talk on "Phenomenological Approaches to Mediatization: Communicative Figurations and the Communicative Construction of Reality" (Thursday 5th December, 1-2pm).
Friedrich Krotz will give a talk on "Sociocultural approaches to mediatization" (Thursday 5th December, 2-3pm).
